How do I obtain an Apostille?

If the academic documents are available on My eQuals, select “Academic Document” as the document type in the booking platform. upload a PDF of the documents in the booking platform and share the documents via My eQuals. Instructions for sharing the documents via My eQuals are provided in the booking platform. We will print the documents directly from My eQuals for Apostille.

What is My eQuals?

My eQuals is a secure online digital platform for access to and verification of Australian academic documents, including degrees, transcripts and other academic statements. My eQuals digital academic documents are certified, legally valid and tamper-proof. The platform provides an easy and secure place for alumni to view and share their academic documents so that they can be easily verified by third parties, for example, Notary Publics and DFAT.

The University of Sydney offer access to digital versions of academic transcripts and testamurs through My eQuals.

How do I access my University of Sydney My eQuals digital documents?

When you graduate or request a transcript or replacement testamur online from the University of Sydney, the University of Sydney will send you an email with information on how to create an account with My eQuals. The University of Sydney will send the email to your personal email address recorded in Sydney Student. This will also be the address they use to set up your My eQuals account so that you will always be able to access your transcript and testamur, even after you have graduated from the university.

Once your account is set up, you will be able to log in to view your Degree and Transcript.

Digital versions of academic documents were not previously available, so if you graduated before August 2018 you were not issued digital documents. If you need a digital version of your transcript you will need to order a transcript to receive a digital version. Normal processing fees apply.

What if my academic document is not available in My eQuals?

If the academic documents are not available on My eQuals, have the documents Notarised by another Notary Public. Unfortunately we do not Notarise academic documents which are not available on My eQuals. Once Notarised, select “Document already Notarised by an Australian Notary Public” in the booking platform. DFAT requires the hard-copy Notarised document/s to complete the Apostille. We will provide a complimentary express post label by email for delivery of the Notarised documents to Swift Notary from anywhere in Australia.

What is the timeframe?

We offer one of the fastest Apostille services in Australia. We will have the documents Apostilled and sent by express post within 3 business days from receipt of your booking (if the academic documents are available on My eQuals) or receipt of the hard-copy Notarised documents (if the academic documents are not available on My eQuals). We provide complimentary express postage of the Apostilled documents anywhere in Australia or we can arrange international delivery via DHL Express for an additional cost. You can select your preferred delivery address in the booking platform. If international delivery is selected, the price for DHL to the selected country will be displayed. You can also choose to receive a PDF copy of the Apostilled documents by email prior to postage.
